Amma - Mother Closed Encounter - Part II
The story you are about to experience is completely fictional, if by chance the character and the incident matches with your life or with the one who you knew, is purely coincidental. It was dark, it seems like I’m not getting much of a sleep after the little experience I had with my mother just a few minutes ago. I looked at Manjula and thought to myself, how can I let this women sleep after, she has awaken the forbidden sexual lust deep in me. So I thought of a plot. First, tried waking her (Manjula) up. No use she was sound asleep, and then I took my blanket and went to the other room where my father is. After throwing the blanket in the corner of the room and double checking my father if he is really sleeping, came out of the room shutting the door behind but did not bolt it, so that he(my father) does not get suspicious. Came back to Manjula and I went straight to the regulate of the fan and increased its speed to maximum, then went back to sleep. Within minutes the room temperature drops to couple of degrees and i was biting my teeth in chillness and waiting for Manjula to take a note of me. No use! Then came another idea, by quickly hitting my thigh as if slapping it for mosquito bite for several times. Finally there was a cough and my name was called ‘Senthil!’ and another cough and a question ‘what are you doing awake?’ it was no other then Manjula. She held my shoulders and turned me around as my shoulders and back was facing her, my body positioning was so intentionally planed in a way, Manjula will have to touch me. There isn’t much of light to see her face, so definitely she cannot see mine neither. For that matter somehow, i must show my distress of not being comfortable with all this chillness and mosquito bites At the grace of my voice, but before i could utter a word. Manjula asked me of my blanket, i said don’t know. Searched for it a while and cannot find it. She said ‘poor child you are shivering, why don’t you slow down the fan a bit’. I said Come on mummy with all these mosquito, no way. I don’t want to risk my blood sucked all up by hungry bugs, anyway these mosquito replants or worthless . Manjula laughed and started to get up from the bed. I asked her, Wait mummy what are you doing, she said ‘come on are you going to sleep like this? No way, I will go get the blanket from your father, I do not care much if he sleeps or he doesn’t with or without blanket! Suddenly i held one of her hand, she turned and asked me, what? I slowly moved my hands to her face cheeks and said you don’t want to wake up dad, he is sound asleep. She said ‘already told you I care less if he(my dad) is asleep or awake it makes no difference to me. Oh! Come on mummy you do not want him to come into our room and disturb us would you? As I was talking I moved my thumb of my right hand in a circular motion, which is already placed in her face check. Immediately the stiff posture of her body loosened, also Manjula caught hold of my hand and moved it all over her face, First to her eyes then to her forehead and slightly touching her lips edges couple of times. It felt like as if my Mom is going to suck up my fingers. Well I thought, not bad for a start! Here comes the disappointment part: My Mother Manjula said, ‘then you can take my blanket’. What..? What was that mom, how will you sleep if you give it to me? Oh! No problem da I’m use to these chillness, you go ahead and sleep. Here, take the blanket and cover yourself up properly. Then she resumed her sleeping position in the other side of the bed. I did not protest much, because i knew this was temporary and know how chilly it could get as night falls. After a while… I did not know how long I have slept, but when the clock struck 12. along with 12 ding dong sounds hammering in my head I woke up, felt difficult to moved and then realized my back was heavy, it was like I was carrying a backpack full of 10 laptops with few differences this one felt soft, very soft and huge. Mom? Mom are you awake, after a long silence Yes came the answer. Can i talk, i mean now at this time? Again came the answer Yes! I not disturbing your sleep, am i? There was silence, but Manjula my mom cuddled behind me further. So i started speaking: You see the other day i was watching a show on Discovery channel, The development of Human baby’s immune system and also the baby’s brain development attains its full growth only when the baby is fed with mother’s milk for at least the first 6 months after the birth. Of course there are supplement food which are not as nourishing as Mother’s milk. And i asked my mother ‘is it really true?’ Manjula said, ‘ maybe’. Come on mummy, just tell me. If it is true or not? Manjula: OK! da it is true, but supplementary food are also equivalent in richness, studies show there is nothing wrong in it. And i continued asking my mother, ‘mom, one day i over heard Jothika(My father’s sister) aunty talking to her friends that you stopped giving me milk in a month? And also she said you where more concern on your beauty then my health, is it true?! Manjula did not respond to this question. And i said, I’m glade that you didn’t feed me that much of milk. Manjula with a questioning voice asked, ‘and why is that?’ Mom that is because, you will not be as this beautiful and sexier as now if you would have feed me milk then. And now if i suck up yours, there will be no milk to feed me, so you do not have to worry that you might loose your nourishment. Your thing is just like a plaything now? isn’t that right mom? Manjula’s voice felt a little distant and she said, ‘i do not know where we are going with this non-sense conversation of yours, I’m feeling tired and sleepy and also think we should call it the night and go back to sleep.
