Encounter with a mallu woman at supermarket

Submit Report My name is Rahul, and I am an IT professional based in Trivandrum, Kerala. I’m 34 now, but this story takes place a few years ago – one of those beautiful moments that stayed with me. Back then, I was living alone in a cozy studio apartment. I had to handle everything myself – cooking, cleaning, the whole thing – but I genuinely enjoyed it, especially the cooking part. Weekends were usually my time to experiment with recipes. One Saturday, after a laid-back morning recovering from a typical Friday night hangout, I decided biryani was on the lunch menu. I had some tea and toast to shake off the laziness, then headed to the nearby hypermarket to pick up what I needed – wearing my usual weekend outfit of shorts and a T-shirt. Since I knew the store inside out, I moved quickly through the aisles grabbing ingredients, when I noticed a woman – probably in her thirties – looking around a bit lost. She seemed to be trying to find someone for assistance but wasn’t having much luck. I approached her and offered to help. As a regular, I had a good sense of where things were, and I was happy to point her in the right direction. She smiled and thanked me warmly. Talking about her, she should be in her late 30s, wearing a T-shirt and pajamas. From her dressing and lack of makeup, it seems like she was staying somewhere closer to the shop and walked straight from bed. She is wheatish in color but attractive, healthy, and about 5.5 feet tall. Her figure is 34-28-36; she is someone who you would notice in a crowd. We ran into each other a couple more times while shopping, and she gave me a few more subtle looks that suggested she needed help – so I stepped in again. That gave us the opportunity to chat a bit more. I learned that her name was Radhika (name changed), and she had just moved to the area for a new job in an IT firm. Her family, which includes her husband and 5-year-old son, was still in Kochi, and she was temporarily staying with a few new colleagues in an apartment nearby. As we picked out our groceries, we found ourselves talking about our neighborhoods and daily routines. At the checkout counter, the staff greeted me like an old friend, which led Radhika to ask if I was a regular. I told her I lived just 500 meters away – right across from the store – and she smiled and said, “We’re practically neighbors then; I’m just two buildings away.” We said goodbye with another friendly smile and a thank-you. I had a few more things to shop for, so we parted ways. A few days later, I met her accidentally again outside the IT park in a tea shop. She had come with her colleagues, and I was with my friends. We saw each other and shared a smile. After a while, my friends had to leave as they had some work to finish, but I stayed back having another tea as I was free and didn’t want to go inside so soon. She noticed that and, while leaving, asked her friends to carry on and came near me, asking if I needed company. I said, “Who would say no to such beautiful company?” and hearing that, she blushed. We had some more chit-chat, and I told her about some food spots around and enquired about how and when she usually left from the office. Sometimes her colleagues dropped her, and sometimes she walked back home. I usually walked back, so I said, “I can give you company today as I don’t have much work. You can let me know when you leave.” So, we left the shop and met again in the evening and walked back home. We exchanged numbers, and I asked her to call me whenever she needed help. We continued this walking session whenever possible and got comfortable with each other. As weeks passed, when friends weren’t around, we used to meet for lunch as well. One Friday evening, when we met for tea, I asked what her plan for the weekend was. Usually, every weekend on Friday, she would travel to Kochi to be with her family and return only by Monday morning. She said she had a marriage to attend to one of her colleagues on Saturday, so she wasn’t going to Kochi this weekend. I asked what her plan was for Sunday, and she said she had nothing planned as such. She would be taking rest and ordering some food to eat. Hearing that, I said, “If you’re interested, you can come over to my place for lunch, and I can cook some biryani and chicken fry for you.” She thought for a while and said she would confirm back to me on Saturday evening once she was back from the marriage, depending on her situation. I said, “Okay.” Meanwhile, I was thinking throughout the day if she would really reply. Saturday evening, when I woke up after a nap and was sipping my coffee, I got a message from her, and she could come over to my place around 12 noon. She wanted to sleep as she was tired and would be late, and I said it was totally fine. Seeing this message, I got active as I had to buy chicken and stuff and clean the place. Sunday morning, I woke up early and was busy with prep. And by noon, I heard a knock at my door as I had shared all the details before. She was in her T-shirt and pajamas, but this time, she had freshened up and was smelling good. As soon as she entered, she complimented me for keeping the place clean and got to smell the good biryani. She came to the cooking area and was helping me with some stuff. I said it was fine, and I could manage. I asked her if she drank to which she said sometimes. I offered her beer that was in the fridge, and she accepted it. We both started with beer while the biryani was in its last stage. I had prepared some spicy chicken fry, and she started eating it as touching and she loved it. While having a conversation on different topics like work, place, etc., we never realized we had sipped a few cans of beer. It was 2 pm, and we were hungry, and the biryani was ready. I served her, and we had lunch together. She was complimenting me all through the lunch for the good food.
