Saath Kahaniya - Episode 1 : Aditya
A passenger van swung into view followed by a truck, approaching from a small road surrounded only by fields and the trees lining it. Inside the van Sheena was looking at a map. “Adi,” she said to her boyfriend since college, “we need to take the next right to get to the picnic spot.” The van’s passengers included Prateek, an outgoing jokester and cricket fanatic, sitting next to Bunty, who was playing games on an iPhone. Fun-loving Asma rolled her eyes and announced, “I hope we get there before this couple in the back seat starts screwing right here and now!” Indeed, in back Rohit, the stud in the group of friends, and Delisha, who’s always been very open about her open relationship, were all over each other. “Yeah, guys, get a room!” joked Prateek. “You’re just jealous,” said Delisha, with Rohit working his way down her neck with his tongue. “Bunty, you’ve been playing on your iPhone ever since we left,” Asma complained. “Don’t you ever get bored?” “We’re here,” Aditya called back from behind the wheel. “It’s already late, so everyone get freshened up. I’ll start the barbeque.” The group dispersed to their respective cabins. Rohit and Delisha found their cabin and threw in the luggage. After a few minutes, Delisha wrapped in only a towel, said, “I’ll go have a shower first. Why don’t you unpack in the meantime.” Still horny from the ride, Rohit had other ideas. “Since it’s already late, I think we’d better shower together.” At his suggestion Delisha dropped the towel. “In that case,” she grinned, “C’mon in!” Later, gathered around the picnic table, Rohit had one arm around Delisha and the other cradling a drink, while Bunty still couldn’t be peeled away from his iPhone. Sheena peeked over his shoulder and asked, “What’s that you’re looking at?” Hiding the screen with his hand, Bunty blushed. “Nothing!” “Oh! I’m sure he’s surfing Savita Bhabhi,” Prateek laughed. “The guy’s addicted to her!” “Who is Savita Bhabhi?” asked Sheena, confused. “You don’t know about Savita Bhabhi?” Prateek answered, shocked . “It’s a really popular adult toon site.” “Yeah, it’s about this really hot bhabhi and all her sexual adventures,” Bunty chimed in once Prateek had taken him off the hook by showing an interest. Delisha was unconvinced. “Oh, those stories are so made up. Nothing like that ever happens in real life!” Aditya looked up from the smoky barbeque with a sly smile. “Sometimes they do!” Sheena looked up at her boyfriend. “What?” Her reaction caused Prateek to start laughing. “Adi, it looks like you haven’t told her about that wedding experience of yours!” Aditya turned to Sheena. “Don’t worry, baby,” he grinned nervously, “it was before we met. What happened was…” *********** “Aditya, get ready!” his mom yelled from the other room. “It’s time to leave!” “What’s the point of going to this wedding?” called her son, watching TV on the sofa in bermuda shorts. “I am on my college vacations…let me enjoy them!” “This is Sharma uncle’s daughter’s marriage,” his mother shouted back. “We all have to go.” “I hope there’s something to pass the time there!” he thought, tired of arguing with her. And so he found himself at the wedding house, a large bungalow filled mostly with women in traditional nuptial garb and servants scurrying around them. A middle-age woman approached Aditya and his mother. “Pooja, you’re here at last!” scolded Aunty Meena. “How did you get so late?” Pointed to Aditya, his mother added, “Ask him…” “Nothing auntyjee,” Aditya explained. “Just took time packing my stuff.” “Adi beta, you can take that room upstairs,” instructed his aunt. “That’s my son’s room. Freshen up and come down in an hour. We have a small function.” Slouched in a chair in a corner of his cousin’s room and smoking a cigarette, Aditya looked around. “Room’s too fancy for a college kid,” he frowned, thinking of his own at home. Before he could formulate another thought, the bathroom door creaked open, and there stood an intensely hot young woman composed of curves Aditya had never seen before, fresh out of her bath. She was drying her hair, her clean body covered by only a small towel. “Oops,” slipped from Aditya’s mouth. “Oh my God!!!” screamed the woman. Hiding behind the door, the woman stuck her head out the crack and demanded, “Who are you?!” “I have been given this room,” Aditya pleaded, “This Rajiv’s room.” Not noticing as the towel slipped enough to reveal her formidable cleavage, the woman growled, “This room has been given to me and my husband. Pick your stuff and leave right now.” Bending down to grab his bag, Aditya mumbled, “Yeah, yeah–leaving…nothing to get so pissed off about…” Later that evening, Aditya was stuck at the wedding’s lame dance party in a big hall arranged with the flowers and other decoration. Dressed formally and trying to hide on a couch, he muttered, “Kill me, god!” When he looked up he saw a gorgeous bhabhi dancing with Aunty Meena. “Who’s that?” he wondered before recognizing her as the woman who had kicked him out of his room earlier. The next day Aditya couldn’t keep his eyes off the woman, and he invented reasons to be about when she was standing on a chair in a backless sari blouse to tie up a bunting, or to catch sight of the syrup dripping down bhabhi’s chin as she ate gulab jamun. That night, Aditya was smoking in the small room that he’d been moved to. He stood by the window thinking, “I can just imagine what that lucky husband is doing right now to the bhabhi in the next room!” Leaning out the window to take in the view, he overheard a conversation from the adjacent window. “What the fuck is this place?” came a woman’s voice.
