The Malvika Diaries - Part 2
20th May 2015 : I had a busy day today. The long meeting hours with clients really suck and it sucks more when they are old fellows. I was going to the parking in the basement of my office situated in Bandra when my phone rang. It was Siddhartha, my husband. He told me that his flight had landed safely in Mumbai and he would be home within an hour. One part of me was happy that my hubby was coming home after 4 weeks and the other part was sad because I won’t be able to fuck Ishan till Sid was home. In the fast few weeks, I had developed a special bonding with Ishan and taught him how to control himself while doing sex and how to please the other partner also rather than pleasing himself alone. He had mastered the art quite well now and he told me that Riya also gave him a compliment of getting better in bed. Now he comes more often to our house: In days to fuck Riya and at nights to fuck me when Riya is asleep. I picked up my car and moved on the “Bandra-Worli” sea link. It was dark all around and the lightening was bright. I looked as if it was going to rain. Before I could drive more, it began raining. I was not able to drive anymore or rather I didn’t want to drive anymore or run anymore. I didn’t want to run from myself. I didn’t want to run from my feelings. I didn’t want to run from the lust that gets generated inside me when I see a guy. I was not like this before. Or maybe I was hiding myself. Maybe this is the real ‘ME’. But now I won’t hide myself. I stopped my car on the side of the road and opened the door. I moved out and allowed the raindrops to wash away all the fears from me: societal fears (log kya kahenge) , family fears etc. I felt like a bird who wants to fly high in the sky thinking that all the sky is its home. I was lost in my own world. I didn’t know when I started walking without knowing where to go. My whole life flashed in front of my eyes and I found out that it was useless-nothing to feel happy about. Yes there were some happy moments in my life but most of the time I had spent on work, kids and other things. But the encounter with Ishan had changed my life. It had taught me that life can be colorful and it is me who is responsible for my happiness. I came back to the real world when I heard a noise. I stopped. I looked around. There were slums around me. I didn’t know where I have come. In the moonlight, I saw an old beggar. He said, “Beti do din se bhookha hu. Kuch khane ko dedo.” I pitied him and searched my purse. There were only 1000 rs notes. I gave him a 1000 rs note. He said, “Beti ye to bahut hain. Itne main nahi le sakta” I replied, “Baba, I don’t have change. Keep it.” He said, “There is a shop on the right side. I will give you the change after eating there.” I said nothing and followed him. It was a small tea-shop. He ordered his meal and moved inside. He said to me, “Beti kyu bheeg rahi ho. Come inside.” I sat on the wooden chair beside him. He ordered a tea for me too. I was still in my lost world till then. Maybe it was years of feelings that wanted to come out or it was the realization that I had wasted my life for nothing. It was when I drank the so called ‘masala-chai’ that I regained my senses. I realized the wetness of my body and clothes. I noticed the eyes of the shopkeeper peeping at me or specifically my boobs. I realized that I was wearing a white salwar-suit and the rain had made it transparent and my nipples might be visible to him. The shopkeeper was a middle aged, fat-short guy with a big tummy. I was filled with emotions- the emotions of lust. I was feeling cold due to rain. I enjoyed teasing him and giving him a smile when he looks at me. Then his wife appeared from inside the house and this broke our little game of show and watch. The beggar finished his meal and when he gave him 1000 rs note, the shopkeeper said, “Give the change man.” Beggar –“I don’t have the change.” Shopkeeper smiled at me, “Its ok. I will take it next time.” We moved out of the shop. The beggar said, “Beti, take your money. Thank you for the food.” Me : “No. Keep it for future” He: “Achha. But you can’t go further now. The passage in front is filled with water and it is raining heavily.” The slums were built in low lying area and hence it was water logged due to heavy rain. Me : “How can I go home now?” He : “My slum is nearby. You can stay there till the path gets cleared.” I didn’t have a choice. I called Sid and told him that I had stopped at a friend’s place due to heavy rain. He told me to take care and cut the call. I followed him to his place. It had a small door made of polythene which was waving due to wind. He moved inside. I followed him. He closed the door with two bricks. It was dark inside. He said, “Beti, can you show your mobile-light so that I can find a candle?” I did as said. I noticed the surroundings as he searched for the candle. There was a glass and some broken utensils at one corner, a chulha at other corner. On the left corner, there was a bed made of wheat husks on the ground. On the other corner, there was a ragged suitcase. He found a half broken candle and lit it. I put my phone in my purse. As he turned to face me with candle in his hand, I noticed him for the first time. He was old, slim with a white beard grown till his chest. He had the looks of a typical sadhu that I had seen in the Bollywood movies. He was wearing a saffron colored dhoti which was torn at places and was bare above the waist. He asked me to sit down on the wheat husk-bed. He said, “Beti, your clothes are wet. You will catch cold. I will give you my wife’s clothes and you can change if you want to.” I was feeling so cold in those clothes and agreed at once. He opened the suitcase and found a green colored sari and a maroon blouse. He turned away and asked me to change. I was wondering at the man’s sincerity.
