Watching Darr Movie With Priya
This is a true incident that happened as a result of a true but very unfortunate incident. After finishing my studies in a small town, I came to Delhi in search of a job in early 1992. I was staying with my uncle who lived with his wife and a daughter, Priya. I was 26 and she was 22. We were always good brother and sister and I respected the family for helping me while my difficult time. I found a job right away but it was not paying me enough. I wanted to be independent so I started to live on my own in east Delhi by renting a room. My Uncle asked me to make sure that I call them once a day and visit them once a week otherwise he will not let me stay on my own. I agreed and always followed the rule. I used to talk to Priya about my career aspirations and she knew that I really wanted to get into this one company. Early in 1993, I got an interview opportunity and told Priya how nervous I am, She told me that I am the smartest person on the earth and the interviewers are going to be dumb people and I will get the job for sure. Also, she had me promise that I will take her to a movie if I get selected. Well, I did get selected and everyone was happy and so with everyone’s permission Priya and I decided to watch Darr movie in Connaught Place on a weekend (I don’t remember the month). So Priya, dressed up in a salwar suit and I went to see the movie in my newly bought Kinetic Honda scooter. When we reached the theater the tickets were all sold out and one guy was selling tickets on black. I told Priya to stand with my scooter by the road and I will wait to see how many tickets he is able to sell, once the movie starts and he still has not sold all his tickets the guy will lower the rate. Then I will buy the tickets and park the scooter and we will go watch the movie. So she stayed with the scooter by the road I just went near the guy to see how many tickets he had in his hands. Just then a massive blast took place inside the theater shattering all the glass. I stood there dumbstruck while the door of the theater broke open by the scared crowd from inside and I saw people running and stepping on each other. I was so shocked that I just stood there until Priya pulled my arm and shouted Bhaiya chalo yahan se. I immediately started the scooter, she sat on the back seat and I started to drive. Not knowing what to do, where to go, still dumbstruck, I did not exit from the circle of Connaught Place and continued to drive and again Priya said kya kar rahe ho wahin kyun jaa rahe ho kahin aur chalo I was so scared. I do not know where I took the turn and where I drove. What I remembered is that I stopped in front of another theater somewhere else, parked the scooter, bought the ticket and went inside. The movie was running and we found a seat in the dark somehow and sat. It turned out to be an adult movie and all the people around us were sex deprived lower class people, and most of them had women with them. There were sex scenes on the screen and people were making out shamelessly while passing dirty comments. We were both scared and before we could gain the senses, the movie was stopped and police came in. They had stopped the screening since there was already a bomb blast and they were worried about serial blasts through other cinema halls. Priya said Bhaiya lagata hai kisi ne humko wahan se bhagate dekh liye, lagata hai inko hum par shak hai and she grabbed my arm and began crying. I was also scared and thought that may be someone saw us running from the site of previous blast and they followed us here. Police made an announcement that there was a blast, and everyone must evacuate the theater and line outside for security check. When we came outside we realize the kind of people we were with. Most of the women were looking like cheap prostitutes Priya, kept on crying holding my arm. Before our turn to go through the security, this inspector came and said mere saath aao. I said kahan. He got mad and said jyada muh mat chala chalo jaldi mere pas itana samay nahi hai ki ik ik ki talashi leta baithu. Now Priya and I were sure that they suspect us and that’s why we are being pulled aside. The inspector took us to the manager’s office which had turned into the police office by now. There was an even higher ranked police inspector on the manager’s seat. This manager immediately started asking in filthy language why we are here and what we are doing. When we told them that we are brother and sister, they did not believe us and said that every lover couple says that when caught by the cops. Priya was crying and the inspector asked me what all I did with Priya inside the theater, He said people come here not to watch the movie but for “other” reasons. I repeatedly told him we are brother sister, so he got mad at me and told me to show him what I did or he will take us to “thana”. I had no idea what to do, but I heard the junior inspector saying “mamme poot de londiya ke, parak (park) me karta hai, cinema me karta hai to fir yahan kyun darta hai. I was so scared, my legs were trembling, Priya was crying, out of fear I lightly squeezed her right breast So, the inspector said abe madar chod ache se poot hanth under ghusa ke. So I slowly inserted my right palm inside her kurti and grabbed her left breast and started squeezing it. Both the inspectors started laughing, with my hand still inside her dress I asked if we can go now. They were laughing like crazy, but just then another policeman came saying “saab ki gadi aa gayi. The inspector got up immediately, I picked up his cap and said chal foot le yahan se, warna abhi sahab ko bhi khush karna padega. So we immediately came out. Outside, the line of people was still going, but we picked up the scooter and drove off. We were both quiet, no words spoken, I was driving but unsure where to go. We were not in the condition to go home and we were scared to go to another place.
